Find out where the oil is coming from and check the oil level. Check the radiator level. Could be anything from a punctured pan to a cracked block. Where do you live? How's the anti-freeze? Does it make any unusual noises? Next thing I would check is the fuel pump then the fuel filter. Make sure of what fluid is on the ground.

Any your issue about the window not going up is most likely battery related.

Check the voltage on your battery as a low battery can cause intermittent issues http://www.bimmernav.com/url/battery/

Typically issues with the car stopping from running most likely due to fuel starvation or ignition problems.

Fuel Filter can be clogged. This is a pretty common issue, and easily resolved. If high miles, and it has never been replaced you should replace it anyway. BMW recommends replacing every 60K miles.

Fuel Pump can have an issue. Check if the fuel pump is working by locating the fule pump fuse and pull it out BEFORE it dies. See if it changes anything. If it does not change anything the fuel pump can be the issue.

Ignition coils. BMW recommends replacing these at 60K miles. The replacement ignition coils are on this page http://www.bimmernav.com/store/catalog/b... This is a VERY easy process and can be done by anyone.

While you are there I suggest replacing the spark plugs if they have never been done The newest and best for the E65 BMW 7 Series are on this page http://www.bimmernav.com/store/catalog/b...

Don, check with your dealer first about the recall "MODEL YEAR 2002-2008 7-SERIES VEHICLES. A CHECK VALVE OF THE BRAKE VACUUM PUMP MAY LEAK A SMALL AMOUNT OF LUBRICATING OIL. OVER TIME THIS COULD RESULT IN CONTAMINATION OF THE BRAKE BOOSTER.

Defect Consequence:

POWER ASSIST BRAKING PERFORMANCE COULD BE ADVERSELY AFFECTED. IN EXTREME CASES THERE COULD BE A COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER ASSIST BRAKING. AN UNEXPECTED REDUCTION OR LOSS IN POWER BRAKING ASSIST MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy:

BMW WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND DEALERS WILL REPAIR THE VEHICLES FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 24, 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT BMW AT 1-800-525-7417.

Notes: BMW OF NORTH AMERICA, LLC, "

The vacuum pump is before the brake booster. It will create the vacuum needed for your booster. Hope this helps, good luck.
