What if the tip breaks off (dropped pen) and the rest of the tip is inside - how do I remove the rest of the tip in order to insert another top?

I got the same question!

Can you pick it out with a needle/pin? (fun tip - those dressing/dress pins with a little ball on one end can give you buckets of extra control here, plus dressing pins tend to be the thinnest things around, needles vary a lot more in thickness/sharpness)

What if the black part of the tip falls off and now I can't write with it?

Just reinsert the nib again in the barrel (Pen) it should work.

If you're having trouble finding pen parts for SP1, buy the cheapest wacom or s-pen you can find, the tech is the same they're all interchangeable, mine was £5 from china and never looked back since

The Black Plastic on a new tip that goes to abou 1mm of the tip is conductive.

If it breaks off the Pen doesn't work properly with the capacitive touch screen sensor.

If you apply conductive ink around the tip, keeping it ~1 mm from the tip, but touching the black plastic, the tip will now work.

Not sure how long this repair will last, but definitely ok for a temporary repair.

PS Conductive ink is available from ebay or most electronic repair outlets.

this is the SP1 which uses wacom, no capacitance here, that may be true for the later n-trig surface pens though, they're an active pen so maybe.
