OnePlus One wifi chipset replacement

I was wondering if the oneplus one Qualcom chipset could be removed from the motherboard and replaced with another manufacturer chipset. I know that is it likely laminated to the board. Is it still possible to remove the chip? Even with moderate difficultly. Also I was wondering if anyone had the pin outs for the chip? I love the phone but could really use another chipset as I don't want to run an external wifi via the USB.

As you can see in this link the Wifi chip is rather small. I would call difficult to extremely difficult to solder of the chip and change it.

OnePlus One Teardown

It should be easier to perhaps fins a used motherboard and change that.

But you could also look at the Oneplus forum

I'm looking to replace the wifi chip with a different manufacturer. Specifically RealTek. I'm looking for a wifi chip that can be placed into monitor mode in order to assist in wifi troubleshooting without having to lug around my laptop or using an external usb wifi. I will be running a linux distro on the OnePlus with the RealTek firmware already installed.

To install another wifi chipset sounds very difficult since the pin layout would have to be the same.
