@tuffyboy7, maddi, Rice will have done nothing to save your phone, rice is a poor desiccant. Stop charging or powering up your iPhone 6 until the liquid damage is addressed correctly, as you could be shorting out components inside the phone. You really should take care of the corrosion that is happening inside the phone from the water damage as that could be your problem. A tear down link for your device Link #1, disassembly guide will enable you to get inside the phone to remove the damage/corrosion caused by the liquid. Use the 2nd link as a guide/instruction on how to clean/repair the device from liquid damage. After this you will be able to power on the phone and see if further damage has to be addressed. If not comfortable trying the repair take into a good local cell repair shop and have them give you a estimate. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

@tuffyboy7 besides the excellent answer by @lpfaff1 Id'd like to add to that. Okay, you've already been told to not use rice. Let me reiterate that: Rice does not do anything. Do not use it.

The very first thing you want to do is to not try to restart/sync the phone. This may further damage your phone. The next thing to do is to clean it. Disassemble your phone using these guides. You must remove all the EMI shields on the logic board. If you do not remove those you are not cleaning 3/4 of the board. Clean everything with +90% (no less than 90%) isopropyl alcohol. Follow this guide, and even so it was written for a 3G all the points are still pertinent to your phone. Pay particular attention to the SMD components, check for charred missing or broken missing. You can then dry the board in an oven or equivalent at 220deg F (not higher;-) for a few hours. Best way to clean it would of course be through an ultrasonic cleaner. Consider professional help with that When it is properly cleaned, replace the battery. All these steps are to avoid delayed failure caused by corrosion. Once all this is done, reassemble your phone and reevaluate. Any real damage can only be assessed once you cleaned the phone properly.
