In June 2014, Apple released a new 21.5" iMac with a lower price than the 2013 models. Externally the new model is nearly indistinguishable from the 2013 models with a 1920x1080 16:9 widescreen IPS display laminated to the cover glass. External ports include four USB 3.0, two Thunderbolt, and one Gigabit Ethernet port. Wireless connectivity includes Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. With the price drop this model is delivered with a slower processor with only half the number of cores, a smaller hard drive, and 8 GB of RAM that can not be upgraded.
