Mon problème

My buddy stepped on his iPod Touch 4G and thought he was going to do the repair himself. Unfortunately, the overseas company he ordered his replacement screen from did not include the adhesive strips and he had no idea how much was involved on the 4G. I offered to do it for him.

Ma solution

The repair went wel . . .

iPod Touch fell hard for a dark seductress known as "asphalt." Sad to say, the encounter left him in pieces.

Ma solution

Using a hair dryer as a heat gun was interesting and noisy, but it worked in the end. I still hate them, though; give me screws and a screwdriver any day. The screen doesn't sit flush with the . . .

A coworker dropped their iPod touch twice onto a cement driveway, cracking the glass. They asked me to replace it rather than pay $35 and have a three week wait.

Ma solution

Started fixing theirs, and cracked the LCD in the process. Swapped out the screen from my ipod and ordered a replacement screen. The repla . . .

My friend did not want to tackle it.

Ma solution

Took my time, followed the you tube video. It came out very well. I can see how practice would make it quite easy.

Mon conseil

Watch the video through several times before starting repair, then have it beside you and start and stop as you proceed. TAKE YOUR TIME!

Mon problème

My issue was a weak battery, the battery wouldn't hold a charge for more than an hour or so.

Ma solution

I followed each step to the letter and I had no problems removing or re-installing the battery.

Mon conseil

A friend of mine offered to give me her broken iPhone if I could get her pictures off of it for her. I run a local computer/electronic repair shop, and I hadn't had a project like this before, but I decided I would give it a shot.

Ma solution

I followed the walkthrough on ifixit, and the repair went very smoo . . .
