Replace a dead or damaged battery. This battery is compatible with a fifth generation iPod touch.

Remarque

Lithium ion battery shipping regulations limit the shipping methods for orders containing batteries. Domestic orders may only be shipped via Standard shipping. iFixit is not able to ship batteries internationally or outside the contiguous US at this time. iFixit Customer Support will contact you if your order needs to be modified after it is placed.

Remarque

There is no guide at this time for replacing the fifth generation iPod touch battery. Replacing the battery is a very difficult repair requiring a temperature controlled soldering iron and a great degree of care. Previous experience with soldering logic board components is recommended.

I didn't have the right screwdriver, so I ground down a common one that was close. It got the screws out, but I couldn't get them all back in again. I fastened the edges only, but it closed up ok. Works great!
