Cold weather starting is difficult.

Any suggestions on how to get the scooter started on cold days (meaning on days withlweather temperatures outside lower than 20 degrees ). What I have tried is the idea below, but it is still hard to start on cold days (although it starts right up easily on warm days)

I have made a hole in the hose that runs from the air cleaner assembly to the carb, then I inserted a tube into that hole in the hose thru which I can easily spray ether starting fluid (without totally removing the air filter to spray the ether) on very cold days to get the Scooter started. However this still envolves many kicks on the kickstart lever. Any suggestions on how to get the scooter started on cold days (meaning on days withlweather temperatures outside lower than 20 degrees ).
