2/3 screen gray bar top to bottom
Daughter's ipod touch just started with a 2/3 screen gray bar across from top to bottom that blocks everything from being seen. Is it history?

Jane T, from the way you describe it, most likely a failed LCD. Either way, you will have open up your daughters iPod. Use this guide and while you are at it, double check all cables and connectors. There is always a chance of a tore cable or a corroded connector. Hope this helps, good luck.
