What is EAC FAILL (error - Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCI)

I have a Ford fiesta 1.4 TDCI duratorq engine and I get this message: "EAC FAILL", the car it starts very hard and it gets maxim 2500 rpm. The local Ford service don't know what to do and called me to change my engine.

Problem solved !!! (1 of 3)

- the cam shaft is the problem (and must be replaced - the cam's are not correctly alined with the crankshaft

- the cam shaft sensor is the problem, replacing it is very easy it is a little blue sensor in the front of the engine placed externally under the cam's/camshaft)

- the diesel fuel pump (high pump) - replacing it can solve the problem, you will need mechanical knowledge and an elevator, because it's on the drive belt
