Icons and picture are burned/stuck on the screen after repair

Hello.

Recently i changed a the power button flex cable for a customer. But after reassembly there was a fail on the lcd. Some of the icons are burned to the screen, so as the clock. And the screen is very bright.

What could cause this problem?

Could it be damaged ribbon cables?
