Thanks for the great breakdown. I just bought (used) this unit, but unfortunately never got the power cable to charge its battery pack. What type of cable should I look/ask for at the store? I am assuming this is something readily available @ Home Depot/Auto Zone etc.

Sulman Hamid, any regular outdoor extension cord should do.
