Can it enhance speed to upgrade to 4GBs when specs say 2GBs?
I went to Apple's Genius bar to see if I could stop random freezing when laptop is moved and to make more space on my 2006 Macbook.
They suggested I buy & put in a Solid State Hard drive (and upgrade RAM to 4 GB.
The HD install went easily and well. The RAM was way too big for my lil 06 Macbook so I'm returning it.
I tried to buy RAM but was told that my laptop specs say that I can only have 2GBs of RAM
THE BIG QUESTION: CAN I buy two 2GB Ram chips install them and GET better (faster) performance or NOT?

Thank you for answering.
My serial number is W87109CQWGL
It is a macbook 2006.
Now when I open my macbook it shows me a blue screen with a file folder that has a question mark in the middle of it.
I must have completely confused it when I added the external HD.
Thanks again from the apple-poor!

Do you have PC2-5300 DDR2 Min. RAM Speed: 667 MHz installed and what is your configuration now? Was the hard drive operating system working before you changed the RAM?
