Hi
I have a black Samsung Galaxy S III. I dropped and there is a very minor crack on the left hand edge of the phone. But there is no display and the touch screen is not working as well. But if I switch the phone on I get the switch-on tone. Also if I make a call to it from another phone the phone rings. Can anyone please tell what the problem is?

pink, it is all academics until you take a look at it. It is possible that one of your cables/connectors has come loose. You want to disassemble your phone and take a look at it and see if you find any damage. If you do not, then you most likely have a broken display assembly. Here is the teardown for your phone. Even so it is not a guide, it will give you a pretty good idea on how to take it apart. Here is a pretty decent video that should help you as well. Hope this helps, good luck.

i have the same problem ! let me know if u ever find a cheaper solution... cuz the repair shop said it will cost me 170 pounds :(
