missing bits of metal in lcd connector in logic board. how can i fix it?
the lcd dont start!
lcd working in other mac.
2,5 core duo 2009 apple logic board part: 820-2330-A

There's a golden metal cap missing on this LVDS socket. It should be soldered on each side of the connector. You can salvage one on a dead board or buy the complete connector off ebay. First check the backlight fuse on the logic board, it's a small component identified with a F or a P or a white dot on it. The fuse may be blown opening the backlight circuit so no power to the LCD. Check also all the LVDS connector pins with a microscope and verify if any is desoldered or damaged. Is it a liquid damaged machine ?

yes golden metal cap is the missing part.
i try to find it on net with luck, maybe in dead mb. you think should be welded?
one times the backlight is worked!! but with out anything else on screen, maybe the fuse is ok?
all screen with lvds connector was tested and it works!
no liquid damage, maybe after a dent of side (you can see also in the picture)

If you get lightning with the screen on your logic board then the fuse is ok but the LVDS socket is very fragile, it was damaged since the top part is missing and maybe the socket pin that carries the video to the screen is also damaged or desoldered that's why my advice was to carefully check the socket pins with a magnifying lens or a microscope. The whole LVDS connector can be replaced but it requires specials tools and skills.
yes, im nor able to replace connector, but probably i can try to replace golden metal cup

lapo, what are the last three of your serial number? This will help to properly identify your computer as well as your logic board. Post some images of the damage with your question. That way we can see what you see.
