Broken antenna connections connected to the top of the iPhone 5 case

I noticed that I snapped the two antenna connections pictured below.

Is there a replacement part for this ?

Please advise.

Thank you,

They are screwed onto the case. In this image you can see where the tech is removing the screws: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/ipuKf... In this image you can see the logic board being removed and the two L shaped connectors on the top left of the logic board are antennas: http://guide-images.ifixit.net/igi/JhpPx...

Brad, looks like the "cellular Interconnection Flex, cable that broke. You can get it from places like this as well as from here Hope this helps, good luck.

Any tips on how to replace this piece ?

It appears that the wifi antenna connection would need to be soldered onto the replacement part ? Any advice would be appreciated, thank you

That is correct. A good soldering iron with a fine tip, and good skills are a must for this.

Turkey... I'm considering another option here as this seems pretty intimidating.

Would I be able to somehow take another iPhone 5, swap some parts over and make it think it's mine ?

Not sure if that makes sense.

I have a 16gb that I'm wondering if I can swap parts from my 32gb into ?

this part is for gps you might loose your gps connection I know that this part will not effect the cellular connection because the cellular antenna is at the bottom of iPhone 5 and for wifi there is one at the botton for making the wifi signal better and there is one at the top which is connectecting at the bottom of mother board

mate, same idea as above. You'd have to replace that cable to fix it.

par

i agree with replacement for a 100% use...but how many percentage of signal can i loose? logically 50% as i snapped one of them? I'm waiting my display replacement assambly so i can't test it to see if it works a bit.

mate

How was the signal after you tested it. Did it affect it dramatically?

par

I'm very curious about whether it worked too!!

I lost power to my rear camera today so I took apart my phone and the right hand side antenna came right off when I unscrewed it. So far I haven't noticed any change in service, but now I am a bit nervous about short circuiting the phone... Put everything back together as normal without the broken cable and now my camera is working again and my GPS seems to be fine... Very strange set of events.
