My Mini Mac will only reject the CD's I put into it recently a few days.
I can not figure out why. It has been working fine for the last several years.
Where or what or why is the reason for the above?

Sometimes the optical drives just go bad. It should be a fairly straight forward DIY project to replace it.

I put a cleaning disk in the optical drive, and that restored it to normal operation.
