Got wet: how can I dry it?

My phone got slightly wet with sea water, just a splash. Immediately the menu button in the middle stopped working, as well as the sound, but it still worked. A day later it got very, very slow, with several seconds delay when touching screen, or totally frozen. Four days later it is getting itself worse and switching itself off. Just getting worse.

I put it immediately in a jar with rice after removing battery, sim... Been aired and dried with cold-air dryer.

I am thinking of opening it to try dry it further, what do you reckon, what can i do.

Thanks

You could follow the guide to open and inspect it. Running it wet you may have shorted (destroyed) components. You can look for corrosion (which can be cleaned) or burn marks (which means components need to be replaced).

Only you know how much time, effort & money into this. . . in the long run it might be more economically feasible to just replace the unit.
