Need only a component from a product assembly

Hi,

My macbook air screen case is damaged and I would like to replace it.

However if I want to do so, I have to buy it with the screen.

Is it possible to only buy the back case (where there is the apple light) ?

Options

It is possible to peel off the LCD panel from the clamshell assembly. However the process is extremely difficult, you can easily crack the panel and to reinstall the panel is another challenge. Just sell the broken top half to someone else. Any problem that is not yours is not a problem
