disassembly guide for iMac Intel 21.5"
Have you produced a guide for the disassembly for this model or, if not, which guide would be most similar?

Thank you for your interest! We do not have a guide yet for this machine.
We have a teardown for the 27" iMac, which is relatively similar, but no repair guide for either yet (as it is a very new machine). Check back often, as we are constantly adding new content!
In terms of similarity, the new iMacs are fairly unique inside, so nothing directly compares yet.

Thanks, that is an excellent teardown article. Just one part that still puzzles me. Where should the two suction cups be placed to 'safely' remove the front panel? There is a note that says that the panel rotates up from the bottom side and yet the photos show them placed at diagonal corners. If it rotates from the bottom, shouldn't the suction be placed at the top corners? Thanks.
This may be the note you are already referring to, but this describes with more detail how to safely remove the glass (it says to put the suction cups near the top edge).

I couldn't find one on 21.5 but here is the teardown for 20". You can view it and compare to your unit and see if it compares. Ralph
