I need to replace my power button and keyboard

i spilled something on my mac unibody mid 2010 keyboard and after going through the process of cleaning it managed to turn it on with the power pads. everything works fine except a few buttons on the keyboard and the power button. i have on old unibody mid 2009 that doesnt work from frying the logic board, but i know the power button works because i turned it on and thats what fried it after something spilled on it. would i be able to use the parts from the 09 and replace my 2010 with them?
