iPad 2 battery damaged during digitizer repair
I was in the process of cleaning the glass shards off an iPad 2 when I slipped and gouged one of the battery modules with the tip of a metal screw driver (yes plenty of lessons learned) and even got a tiny spark on the process. So far it appears to be working fine and am ready to do final reassembly but am wondering weather I should replace the battery to be safe or if the damage is ot likely to cause a problem. The gouge is perhaps 2mm long and half a mm deep and my concern is that it could be a fire hazard.
