stuck cd how do I take the cover off
CD won't come out when I eject. You can actually hear it trying. I can not figure how to take the cover off so I can try to get the CD out.

First restart holding down the mouse button, that failing try:
Restart the computer while holding down Command-Option-O-F, to enter the Open Firmware prompt. Type "eject cd" without the quotes, and press return. The disk should eject." If this fails then look at doing surgery.

There is a guide that allows you to remove the Mac mini upper case exposing the inside and gives instructions to remove the optical drive and hopefully give you access to your CD again. You can view the guide here Mac mini (PowerPC) Optical Drive Replacement.

Or similarly, reboot while holding down the mouse clicker. Again, though, as Mayer said, "if this fails then look at doing surgery".
Note that opening a Mac Mini is quite a bit tricky the first time. But the paint scraper shim does work.

For Stuck CD/DVDs
that don't respond to "normal" emergency eject commands I use double sticky tape.
