My floors are concrete covered by wood paneling. My phone (LG Optimus G) slipped off of my bed and landed face first, completely shattering the screen. It turns on and off and the screen is normal looking, but the touch doesn't work anymore. I can't unlock it or anything. Can I get it fixed or is it just cheaper and easier to replace it? Will my warranty and/or insurance on it cover it?

The problem is that your digitizer is broken. It is repairable. I've done this repair for two different customers. The charge for the repair will completely depend on who you take the unit to. I do not think that the manufacturer warranty will cover it, but if you are paying for insurance, physical damage should be covered. It completely depends on what kind of insurance you have on the device. Hopefully your insurance will cover this incident. If not, seek a local repair shop and get a quote. There are several models of the Optimus G. I have been able to find replacement components on Amazon.com by searching for "LG Optimus G digitizer LCD" which brings up several purchase options for either the LCD by itself, the digitizer by itself or both of them together.

That would require a replacement screen/digitizer assembly. The cost depends on the model of your phone and if you do it yourself or have someone else do it. I can give you part costs if you post what model of phone you have. Model and carrier (AT&T, Sprint, etc.)

Same thing happened to me. It's like it is frozen. The screen didn't break when I dropped the phone but the digits don't work so can't get into the phone because the password #'s can't be pressed. What do I do?

Bruh my phone dropped when I had it to my ear and put the battery back in and turned it on then I was bout to put my password in it didn't working I kept on pressing

The exact thing happened to me when I was in practice yesterday. I dropped my phone face down and then it got a bunch of cracks. Now I don't know what to do because even though my screen looks ok the touch is still not working.

My Lg optimums l70 digital screen don't work the screen didn't brake it just went dark I turn it off the waited a while then turn it back it on but it didn't work I dropped it on the wooden kitchen floor I can answer calls n get notification just cant see it I don't know where to take it get the screen replaced I don't want to get a new one because I wanted to keep some picture I didn't save to my SD card
