Why is my right speaker whining?

So I decided to pick up a very cheap macbook pro that had a graphics issue. I repaired it and gave it a cleaning. I tested it with the keyboard unscrewed from the unit and all the speakers worked fine. But when it is screwed down and complete, the right speaker makes a whine on bootup and will whine if I adjust the volume and play a sound instead of playing the sound. the left speaker if perfectly fine. Any help?

Sorry for the wait, yes it was a pinched wire somewhere. No clue where it was but I had to take the logic board out anyway so I took a look. Still don't know where it was pinching or crossing.

Sounds like you have a grounding issue (picking up noise).

Check the wires from the speaker and the connections to the logic board any pinched?

Did the system get wet? You may have some corrosion some where along the circuit board on the speakers pathway to the amp which is leaking the noise from ground.

No, the system is pretty dry. No spill indication as far as I see. Could the display cable cause the issue? I have a feeling when the top case is on that the display cable is pushed ever so slightly to the speaker. I'll check later on tonight. Same question goes to the power button.

Basically you have a cross-talk issue (noise in this case). And yes any pinched wire can be the source.
