"Charging paused, battery temp too LOW!?"

After replacing the screen assembly, this error is happening. The phone will turn on, but it won't charge. The above message comes up. This is the second time this has happened after replacing the screen. Please help. What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix it?

samsung note 2 charging paused batteey t t

I have this problem... My shiny Galaxy S4 is still under warranty. Verizon is sending me a free new phone with return shipping free. THEY described it as a defect.

Oddly, they claim they've never heard of this issue. I found this forum/website in about 2 minutes. BOOKMARKIT!

Bottom line advice... IT'S A MANUFACTURING FAULT. Perhaps if EVERYONE with issues were call their carrier TECH SUPPORT or Samsung this issue may be resolved satisfactorily AND resolved in the manufacturing process.

It turns out the charger port flex was damaged in some way during the screen replacement. This is the usual cause of this message. Thanks.

check btemp line, at samsung mobile call (M2), THERMAL RESISTOR need to be change...

par

can you show me? where's thermal resistor and the btemp line ?

par

there is a problem with the charging port flex. first make sure its securely connected to the board. also make sure the flex for the home button is plugged in properly to the charging port. if everything is plugged in fine than you need to replace the charging port flex. if that does not work try the following diff battery or diff charger.

== Any kind of temperature errors at any kind of mobiles: galaxy, nokia, iphone ,etc often caused by the line of battery temperature(btemp/ at nokia ) (ntc / at iphone ), so , we have first to change charger and also change battery and check battery connector befor we check this battery temperature line to remove capacetors and similar components and to check if the serial elements are ok or need to be change, befor we have to reheat power ic at last , greatings from TAHSEEN TEAM EGYPT

My phone (Galaxy S4) displayed the same message although the temperature was close to 30°C (86°F). In addition, the icon "charging" appeared although the device was not connected to a charger. I opened it, discovered some traces of water (realizing that the device was actually exposed to some water earlier during the day), carefully wiped water droplets and let it dry overnight. On the next morning, the problem was fixed.

I let my cel fall in the toilet!!!! I swore horrible, horrible words silently because I was at work and I'm a teacher and there were students in the bathroom. I grabbed the phone in the peepee water and ran as fast as I could to my classroom. I removed the battery, chip and memory card and dried it all off. Then I let it air out for a couple of hours. (I went back to wash my hands). When I got home I layed everything out on a towel and blow dried it all for a few minutes (including cel and back cover). Important!!!!Blow dryer on low temperature and from a distance.

Then I put it all back together prayed really hard and......... it still didn't work. Aaaaargh! #@$*&#@###@@@$%# I wanted to rip my hair out! I'm broke and I totally depend on my phone for everything in my life! I choked up my tears, thought happy thoughts, and tried it again.

....... and the next time.... still hopefull and praying....... IT WORKED!!!!!!!! Hurray!!!! Viva!!!!! Halelluah!!!! I cried tears of joy and kissed my phone!

Samsung Galaxy J, you kick ass!!!!!

No its not damaged. i had the same problem /message .open up the phone and pull the sim card ,sd card and remove the mid frame.

Just above the usb charge connector you will see two small gold contacts that touch what i believe is the temp sensor which is located in the mid frame assembly.Clean the two contacts on that sensor with a q tip dampened with rubbing alcohol. You may also have to be careful and slightly bend upward those two springy contacts that touch the temp sensor.

Hope this works for you it fixed my S4.

NEVER use rubbing alcohol .... aka 70% isopropyl alcohol ...as it has silicon lubricant and water that makes up the 30% non alcohol portion, and both are harmful to your electronic devices.

You should be using 91-99% pure isopropyl alcohol, which has a very small water content that the IPA will displace no problem at all, so it dries (very quickly I might add) residue free! ;)

par

Good point. I mean regarding the isopropyl alcohol . I have a faithful super cracked screen Galaxy tab from year 1902, seriously, has obviously bounced of floors, countertops, tile, linoleum you name it,. Dropped in dog drinking bowl, forgot outside in rain, nevertheless my faithful old battle axe still works! I keep it out of spite and resolution. I have 8 other various tablets, 3 are newer Samsung Galaxy tabs but this one is special.

I am having the same trouble with my lenovo k3 note ,its not a big matter as everyone said...I fixed this problem my self in a few min..Probably phones with li-on batteries are having such problems. I will tell you the steps which I had followed to fix my phone

1. I removed the battery first and Make the phone and battery alittle warmer by using a cotton(even a blanket)

2. After that I placed my phone in a blanket which will make the phone warm for a while.

3.And I used a multi charger to charge the battery directly for about 30 min..The I switch on the device ,then I found 3% charge on the device ,first I thought the problem is didn't solved yet....

Then I charged the phone using a charger and used it for while during charging... Now I am not finding any "low battery heat issues"... Its works fine...Try out these guys..I hope it will work for you too..

I for one pulled the back near the port, let air pass through it since I had recently replaced the port like a few months back. Then it started charging, I think maybe at times sweat can build up or by whatever means, liquid happens to just get inside the electronic components.
