Weak Cell Signal after Battery Replacement.

Hi. Bought a replacement battery for my friend's iPhone 4s. Removed cover, removed battery connector and carefully removed the cell antenna grounding tip with a pick up tool, avoiding finger contacts. Replaced battery, carefully put back the grounding tip while avoiding finger contact. Phone powers on fine, but it has a very weak cell signal... one bar at home when he normally gets 4-5 bars, and no signal at all from my home while I get 3 bars on my iPhone.

I tried a few things found online like change the date/time and restart, reset network settings. I even put the original battery in, no difference.

I'm at a lost... what could have had happened?

Yeah, started that side then realized it wasn't a good idea and switched to the other side. What would I have damaged??

Never a good idea..

I'm not sure what components are there but I know some off them are to do with reception is the blue coil still intact or does there look like damage is done? Blue coil is just above were antenna plugs in

That blue coil is extremely difficult to see... I need to get myself a magnifying glass. That said, I wouldn't know what it should look like if it's intact.
