Can`t connect to selected wireless network

Yesterday I found the problem why my laptop wasn`t turning on. I fixed it and also reinstalled XP. Everything seemed to work fine. I installed necessary drivers and then I tried to connect my router wirelessly. I clicked connect and then an error popped up saying Windows was unable to connect to selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try connect again. I also tried different drivers for wireless adapter but none of them worked.
