Screen/lcd replaced now reboots constantly?

I thought I had replaced the Screen/LCD unit successfully, but it switched itself on when I connected the battery, but now it vibrates and Nokia emblem going on and off. I believe this to be constant soft reboot any ideas I would be grateful. also I can not switch off or on to do the soft or hard reset that is suggested on various sites can anyone help please its driving me nuts Thank you.
