I was finishing the install of a new lcd and a piece of the connector from the flex cable housing broke. There are two pins exposed and the rest are still covered by the plastic. I am able to get the screen to flicker on at times when I push the pins down onto the ribbon. Is there anything I can put on the pins that would fix the broken connector? Any help would be very appreciated. thanks!

Use some rubber of an eraser to fix this. If you have a really (!) good microscope, a really (!) fine solder iron and you're used to solder such fine wires, then you may fix it scratching away the upper polyimid part of the flex cable and solder a thin (about 50 microns in diameter) wire on the broken connections. But DON'T DO THIS, IF YOU'RE NOT USED TO, otherwise you'll be frustated!
