The rubber piece to the left of the ear mic. I think my cat or dog was playing with it when I was dis-assembling my LG G2. Is it critical and if so where can I get a replacement?

If it is the rubber piece that is located at the top right then yes, it separates the prox sensor form the ambient light sensor and without it your prox sensor will not function however if it is from the bottom mic it is not a huge deal you just might not sound as clear to people on the other end.
