Red Screen and slap technique not working!

I have an iPad 2 and yesterday I DID NOT drop it, but when I got to work, I noticed the screen was all red and blue and a bit fuzzy.

After searching frantically online I found the slap on the back technique. Seemed to really do the trick. Until today.

Got to work again today and the same problem - however, the slap isn't working, nor is the tap with a hammer in the corner technique I found as well.

My warranty is up with Apple and I cannot afford a min charge of $250 which is what I was told it would be to fix it.

Any help at all would be really appreciated!!!!
