Fan runs as soon as power is plugged in.

As soon as the computer is plugged in to power source the fan runs at high speed. Power button does not need to be pressed. Disconnected the dvd thermal sensor cable and the fan cable on the back of the interconnect board, no change.

changed RAM no change. Thermal sensor on hard drive is intact.

Any ideas? Thanks.
