1 Why does the bottom stay hot after closing?
My laptop would get really hot on the bottom and shut down to a black screen. The fan had made a really loud noise one day so I replaced it. Problem not solved. I'm pretty sure it is the battery overheating but even when the computer is closed, the bottom stays hot and and drains the charge on the battery. My question is should I replace the heat sink as well or will a new battery fix my problem?
