Paper Motor replacement guide issue

I was going through the HP F4400 paper motor replacement step by step guide step guide found at Remplacement du moteur du rouleau de papier HP Deskjet F4480 .

Got to step 12 and the roller assembly was still connected loosely to gears below the assembly which seam to drive the printer head cleaning assembly. Tried removing the clip on the bottom of the printer attached with screw and that did not seam to make any difference. Do not want to use to much force and break something to remove the roller assembly.

My actual problem was not the paper roller motor but the printer continues to jam after printing 3 or 4 pages and seams to have a roller depression down the center of the paper. I had hopped than through the disassemble to replace the motor I would discover the problem I was actually having.
