Why is my screen is black after replacing the lcd and digitalizer?

After putting the phone back together the screen is black. The vibrate function is working. I replaced the lcd screen and digitalizer on it because it got dropped.

The first course of action is to double check the display connectors. I know this sounds dumb, but you'd be surprised how often this can fix the problem. Which version of iPhone do you have (original, 3G, 3GS)?

Don't know why but a recovery of the iphone fix this problem : black screen LCD when you put it on a iphone not plugged off.

For not lost data just turn your iphone into recovery mode and escape from recovery. (Recboot is perfect for that)

i have this problem on many iphone 3G, 3GS i've repaired and i have fixed this problem like this.

soory for my poor english

just wondering why you don't have to power off? mostly black lcd recovers from a hard reset with home and power for 10sec. thought you might have a magic answer for why you needed to do the recboot...

Some time forgot to turn power off or put it on accidentally during repair.

The only reasons why i use recboot it's to not have to lost the data with a DFU.
