Water soaked iPhone 5c won't power up - step 2
I’ve removed and washed the main board with alcohol and then dried everything out over a few days. I did not remove the covers off the main board since they are soldered on. I’ve replaced the lightning board and the battery. When I plug in the battery, it and the main board get quite warm, and nothing shows on the display. Is the main board fried or is there anything else I should be doing? Thanks.

It's the Apple A6 APL0598 application processor that is heating up.

How does the processor begin to heat up the moment I connect the battery and before I even have a chance to turn it on? It suggests that the fuses aren't blown but there is a short that somehow bypasses the on/off switch. Is that likely?
