I bought a late 2013 MBP entry level unit not realising that the Nvidia GPU had been excluded from the build
Is it posable to purchase the next logic board up with the duel GPU fitted?

It would appear to be so, but it also appears there are no DG logic boards here in stock.
May be faster, and cheaper in the long term to sell the wrong MPB and purchase the one you desire. A logic board swap is a very difficult DIY repair - essentially you dismantle and then reassemble the entire machine (a lot can go wrong).
It's one thing to swap a logic board on a nonfunctional machine to get it functioning, but another to tear down a working box, try to sell just the logic board, & buy the logic board replacement. I think you'd get more for the entire working machine than for just the logic board.
