I dropped the unit and display only turns on bright white.

The unit was dropped on the corner edge closest to the power button. You can now power on the unit but the display glows bright white and it does nothing else. I'm going to disassemble the unit and see if anything has shaken loose inside. With this symptom, can it be determined what might have been damaged? Is this possibly a damaged display? I appreciate any advice or recommendation.
