iPhone 5 screen not working, tried with working screen, and restore

I have a problem with a recently out of warranty iPhone 5. It was just replaced about 2 months prior close to it's expiration date. The touch screen would have issues, now it just stopped working completely. I thought it was the screen, so I tried it with a working one, and it did not function either.

It did not work after several reboots and even a restore did not fix it. Does anyone have any suggestions?
