Camera module revisions, which is the better?

I am planning to attempt to fix the infamous purple tint problem of the camera of my M7 by replacing it. When I look around on eBay for camera modules I can see at least 4 different varieties of camera modules with different color circuit boards, with or without foil wrapped around it and so on. I'm wondering how to identify the latest or best revision of the camera module, either visually or by part number.
