After Screen replacement Still won't work

My iPad 2 screen smashed.. but it would still turn on and work. I replaced the screen, and wifi antenna (because I broke it during tear down),,,

And now i get NOTHING.. won't power up at all.

what should i try to replace next,, or what else could i have damaged during screen replacement?

How do i figure out whats wrong?

Hi Tarntino,

Are you sure the iPad is not powering up? May be the nee LCD is defective.

- First make sure the battery is holding a charge: charge it for ~30 minute using a known good charger and cable.

- Connect iPad to a computer and launch iTunes.

- Then hard-reboot it (press and hold Power Button + Home Button for ~12 seconds, release together), and if you see nothing appearing on the screen or on iTunes, press once on the power button to restart it.

1/ If no image has shown up on the screen, and your iPad is not detected by iTunes, skip to step 3.

2/ If no image has shown up on the screen but your iPad is detected by iTunes, there are a few possibilities.

2-a/ Display cable is damaged or improperly seated. Remove, clean cable and connectors on both ends with cotton swab dipped in 90%+ isopropyl alcohol, then reseat and test; there is a cable similar to the display cable. Make sure this one is also properly seated.

2-b/ Put back the old/broken LCD: if image is produced, your new LCD is defective.

2-c/ If no image appears on the old LCD: the back-light filter/circuit is damaged, an image is produced but you can barely see it (if at all). You will need to replace the culprit filter with the help of micro soldering tools and skills OR another part of the circuit is damaged responsible for producing an image (not just the back-light), also requires proper skills to detect and repair.

3-a/ Either electrostatic damage killed something on the board, or your damaged something during the first repair. Examine all the apparent components around the areas you worked on to see if anything is broken/missing/part removed. Let us know.

3-b/ Disconnect then reseat the charging dock on the board, also make sure the screw holding the battery in place is tight (if you mingled with it previously / far left screw of step 47 in this guide.

Try the above and let me see if you find anything.
