It doesn't connect to my house's wifi! Why?

When I go into my house, it doesn't connect to my houses wifi. Instead, it connects to an open wifi network that doesn't let me access the internet or anything. ive been on my wifi menu in Settings and disabled the open one, but it still connects even though its not in my list of possible wifi connections. HELP!
