My tablet doesn't display anything and will not charge.

My tablet is about 16 months old and won't charge. Nothing displays when it is plugged in. I took it apart and unplugged the the main wiring harness, then plugged it back in but this didn't fix it (this was a common problem with the Tab 3 and unplugging would fix it).
