Kenmore Elite spin cycle with loud noise

Hello all,

I have an issue with my Kenmore Elite top load washer. Once it is about to transition from the spin cycle to a different cycle the drum will not stop spinning but the agitator does stop. The drum will continue to spin along with a really loud sound. You can view a YouTube video of the issue here:

Can anyone help me with what the problem is?

Options

After the unplug and plug in didn't work, I went to work on under the machine. Immediately I noticed that the main bolt that holds the stader assembly on the machine had backed out. After tightening this down as best I could the machine is working properly again.

Options

First reset the machine by unplugging for 5 minutes. If the problem persists, replace the timer.
