later the phone turns off again.
I did a reset using the red push button in the sim/sd slot. The phone boot cycles 5-10 times and then boots into android. However about 20 seconds later the phone turns off again. Like you the phone it hot to the touch near the nfc mark on the back cover. I currently have the phone sitting in rice.

What happened to your phone? Besides the rice (does not work and is a waste of time), what have you tried to fix it?
