Sound Comes Out of One Side After Replacing the Headphone Jack

I recently ran into a problem with my ipod where the sound would only come out of the left speaker. After looking online, I found that most sites suggested that I replace the headphone jack, which I did. Now, I still have the same problem, but with the opposite earbud. Now, sound only comes out of the right speaker. Did I install the headphone jack wrong or is this a deeper problem with my ipod?

I think there was a problem on my end when I installed it. I made sure that all the connections inside the ipod were secure, and it is now working. Thank you for your help.

Options

RBatty024, try another new headphone jack. If it is a logic board issue, it will not change the left or right channel. It will be either the left or the right. Check your connector and check to make sure that there is no debris etc on the contacts.
