2010 MacBook Pro 13" EEE Code / Logic Board

I need a logic board, but my Macbook Pro does not power on. I was unsure if I had a 2.4 Ghz or 2.66 Ghz and after looking at images and comparing, I finally read about an EEE Code.

Some sites state the EEE code is not the same as the Serial Number, but differs for the logic board itself. After looking at the 2.4 Ghz and 2.66 Ghz, where the letters of DD7F or DD7G are listed, these didn't not appear on my sticker.

After reviewing my sticker, of all the number combinations, I noticed the DD7H in the MLB No. Assuming this is correct, it pertains to the 2.4 Ghz which is what I ordered (fingers crossed).

I've attached a picture of my logic board; can someone confirm if this is the correct logic board for my Macbook Pro?

Your board identifier is 820-2565-A, and made in 2009

Can you give us the last four digits of your systems serial number so we can correctly identify your system.

Dan, the last four digits are TATM of the serial number on the bottom case. When I use the number on the Apple site it shows up as a Mid 2010.

These are the two systems that are part of the series your MacBook Pros serial number tells us: MacBookPro7,1 from EveryMac as an additional reference.

Options

You could put in either of the two logic boards within this series without any problems.

It's when you try other series logic boards you may encounter issues as either the ports are different or have a different placement or stand offs or other interconnecting parts are located in placements making it impossible to fit.

z89, it is 820-2879, you can find this on the left side of the board, if you unplug the DVD and hard drive cables

Why do you want to replace it? If we had more here we might be able to help you isolate the problem which might be something else.

thank you reece i was trying to buy the logic board to get it installed from an online website so that guy who is selling me is asking me this info, the logic board has short ciruited due to spill i turned it on many times after the spill. this guy is asking me 820-2877-B? this number is it A or B for my model. And the seller is also asking the model number like is it A1342

Your board is DD7J by the MLB number. I think you're getting confused by the board ID which is common between both versions of this series (820-2565-A). Apple (and other makers) often use the same board with just different components to offer the full make-up of systems within the series (MacBookPro7,1). Use the link to gain more details of your system and the other one that makes up your series (2.66 GHz model) which will also work in your system.

I always go by the Apple part number and cross-check it by the CPU's frequency in your case 2.4 GHz.
