My phone refuses to come on.

Yesterday my iphone 5 fell flat on the ground on its back. When i picked it up it did not come on. When i got home i tried to charge it but the battery sign keeps flashin on and off and there's no sign that it is being charged. I also tried holding down the home button and the power button and it says connect to itunes. When i did nothing happened and it still isnt being charged. Is it the end for my precious phone? Do i need to change the battery? What could possibly be the problem? Ill appreciate any type of help what so ever, thanks.

Hi shunned 95,

It is most definitely not the end of your phone. If you have the ability you should open up your phone and check your connectors. They have covers over them but even those covers can come loose and then you have a loose connector.

If you don't have that ability I would suggest that you take it into a local repair shop (not a mall kiosk) and have them open it up and try to switch out parts to find the problem.
