Can I replace one of my two RAMs?
My macbook pro 2011 late has two 2G RAMs installed.
I am wondering if I could just upgrade one of them to 8G while the other remain untouched?

You can do that but you need to make sure that the clock speed is the same in both sticks. However it is recommended to pair ram for maximum performance.
